Re: [ARSCLIST] NFL--was: Some YouTube stuff that may be of interst

Green Bay is actually a story of why the league works. As I understand it, the team is owned by the city, ie the citizens of Green Bay. It is managed in such a way that it has often been competitive in the past decade and of course it was a dynasty under Vince Lombardi. Being a traditionalist, I love Green Bay because they play outdoors at frozen Lambeau Field -- no fancy dome with high-falutin' luxury boxes for the cheeseheads!

BTW, the NFL is a fascinating thing in and of itself. The league is the most
socialist of sports
organization, with most revenue shared between highly profitable large-market
teams and
not-so-profitable small-market teams
<snip>
Yet, they still have a team based in GREEN BAY...!?
