George Blood Audio is the Philadelphia region's leading provider of audio production services specializing in classical music recording. Through our Safe Sound Archive division, we are a leading national provider of audio conservation, preservation and restoration services working with deteriorating media and obsolete formats.

We are expanding our staff with entry-level full time, permanent positions in our preservation studios.


Assistant Engineer
40 hrs per week, 9-5, overtime common (though seasonal). Ability to work evenings and weekends, sometimes on short notice. Must have own transportation (mileage and expenses are reimbursed). Staff work 10-12 hour shifts, rotating days off. Reports to Studio Manager, Brian Destremps.
This is an entry-level position for a audio preservation transfer engineer, working with senior staff in all areas, including shipping, cleaning, metadata, file preparation, duplication, QA, and, in time, transfers. Substantial on-the-job training will be provided. A background in recording is not required, but useful. Knowledge of classical music, especially as performer, is desirable. You will work with both Macintosh and PC systems. Overtime, holidays & paid vacation (after first year).


Marketing and Advertising Assistant
20-40 hrs. per week, depending on candidate. 9-5 weekdays (flexible). Reports to the Owner, George Blood.
This position is to coordination with graphic designers and publications for the placement of ads; updating Web site; arranging for travel and shipping of booth materials to conferences; assist senior staff (Owner, Studio Manager, Preservation Administrator) in the organization and follow-up of sales leads; and other areas supporting sales and marketing.
A background in recording or audio preservation is not required, but useful. Knowledge of sales and marketing, is desirable. This is a position for someone strong in punching lists of short activities, and following through on loose ends. You will work with both Macintosh and PC systems. Overtime, holidays & paid vacation (after first year).
