The eq curve will depend on the tape speed; be sure to adjust playback azimuth for proper high frequency response.

Does anyone know, or have an idea where I kind find, what equalization was used on Grundig reel-to-reels (possibly model TK24) in the late 60's? I can only find one site on the web that hints at that model being limited to an 8kHz response but, nothing about what eq was used. Any info will be appreciated.

I have a batch of tapes that were recorded using such a machine and just don't sound right on top.
