Re: [ARSCLIST] ^ Looking for a word

I have one of those "World's Fair" records, pressed in the USSR,marked as such, and not Stinson. It's a pressing,of two 1936-7 recordings,by Oistrakh. As far as I know, Oistrakh never made it to the fair. What is the story behind this record ?

Except for those US pressings in the early 40s of USSR recordings, which had NO
label identification, just the logo they swiped from the Russian "World's Fair"
labels. In tiny print at the bottom appeared Stinson Trading Co.
