Hi All:

Cross posted to Ampex and ARSC lists in hopes of trolling for accurate technical info.

I have here a Technics SL-D2 direct-drive (DC motor) turntable. It's not a quartz drive system.

Can it be modified to go 78RPM? If so, has anyone actually done the mod and have detailed plans?

If it's a matter of changing the reference frequency of a servo system, I'd think one could use an oscillator and inject the proper tone somewhere in the circuit, but at what impedence, what volts, and where? I don't have a circuit diagram, so if someone's got one, thanks in advance!
