there are plenty of other reasons *not* to use double-speed digitization. You all have been most solicitous in your responses to this idea. A real tribute to the professionals on this list. I knew as soon as I pressed "send" that it was a bad idea, even though the stuff I am working with is of minimal quality. Its just that there is SO MUCH to do! Thanks again, Kevin
