Any way the pages of this could be scanned and made available? I have a
number of Rainbow records, including a 12" which may have been a private
recording...but have never seen, or heard of, a Rainbow CATALOG!

Dave Lewis:
There are five Rainbow catalogues. I will be including an illustration or
two from them with the article I am working on for the ARSC Journal. As far
as hosting a site where all of this info is available in facsimile, maybe
down the road. But not before publication - sorry. I have devoted the better
part of the last five years of my life to uncovering and reconciling this
info, the proper understanding of which goes way beyond the printed
catalogues as they stand.

The 12" record, Rainbow 8000 was probably recorded in 1923, but not issued
until 1924. It is the only 12" record in the catalogue and the only "8000"
Rainbow. It is not a private issue, as it was listed in the 1924 catalogue.
But it is not a common one; I have seen only one copy of it myself. It is
certainly a beautiful record to behold, but Homer had to dub it at Gennett
to get a pressing of it made, as he wasn't set up to manufacture 12"
records.
