Question:

Is the Agfa sticky problem different from the Ampex or is a binder/back-coat issue? If it's the same 
process, why wouldn't baking work like with Ampex? And, conversely, why wouldn't microwaving work 
with Ampex?

I could see one big problem with microwaving -- reels. However, as I understand it, the European 
ways don't include flanges most of the time, so as long as the hub is not aluminum, a pancake should 
microwave just fine. Only thing I'd worry about is, I've noticed that baking loosens the tape pack. 
If microwaving does the same, how does one keep the pancake intact? Put it on a glass plate?
