One caveat-make sure you get the connectors that have a metal shell if you are using them for the mic input (There was a version made that used a plastic shell as well).

Solder a short lead from the shell to the ground pin. This will help keep down any extraneous noise. Same applies to the output connector if you are amplifying it down-chain.

I think you are thinking of Amphenol connectors. As Bob has already pointed out, the connectors on Webster-Chicago equipment are Jones connectors. To be more precise they are Cinch Jones connectors.

And JERRY,low and behold, I'm looking at them on page 1000 of the Mouser online catalog!

The output connectors are type 302
parts number 538-13021 (plug) and 538-23021 (socket)

Mic connectors are type 303
parts number 538-13031 (plug) and 538-23031 (socket)

So much for my years of searching. There it is under my nose.
