Sadly, it's talking about LP's...ANY alcohol will dissolve shellac 78's!

To remove the paint, remove it PHYSICALLY using a straight pin or sweing
needle. Fortunately, the surface of the grooves is so smooth (on a
microscopic
basis) that the paint can't adhere, so it can be easily removed that way.
