> CHARM SYMPOSIUM 3: 'Transfer and the recording as historical document'
> 20-22 APRIL 2006
>
> CHARM (the AHRC Research Centre for the History and Analysis of Recorded
Music) will be holding its third residential symposium at Egham (near
London) on 20-22 April 2006. Its topic is 'Transfer and the recording as
historical document' and confirmed presenters include David Breckbill,
George Brock-Nannestad, John McBride, Mark Obert-Thorn, Michael Gray, Per
Dahl, Rob Cowan, Roger Beardsley, Simon Trezise, Tully Potter, and Ward
Marston.
>
> We have space for a very limited number of additional delegates, who we
hope will attend the whole of the symposium (which runs from lunchtime on 20
April until lunchtime on 22 April) so that they are in a position to
contribute fully to the discussion. We can provide accommodation and
subsistence (at cost) for £157 for the entire event, or subsistence only
(excluding evening meal) for £40. A concessionary rate will be available for
postgraduate students.
>
> If you would like to attend, please email the CHARM Coordinator, Carol
Chan (carol.chan@xxxxxxxxxx) with your requirements no later than ***5
February***. We shall confirm the availability of a place no later than 20
February. We apologise in advance if demand exceeds availability.
