I prefer it as it is. A mailing list is much faster to scan through and
I don't have to wait for a browser to slowly download and lay out HTML.

On an email program, the messages are downloaded in the background while
I am doing something else.

Also it is a big advantage to have an archive stored locally. Web based
resources have a tendency to vanish.
