Hello,
I encountered my first hub of 996 with sticky shed YESTERDAY.
The tape was fine for several hours of transfers, the air conditioning
shut down for 2 days, the temperature of the control room rose to around
80 degrees, and when I next went back to do more work , SSS had reared
its' ugly head. Deposits had been made on all heads and guides, so it
isn't LOL.
A new reel of the same age from our cool storage closet is fine.
