[ARSCLIST] Job Positing- IU School of Music



The Indiana University School of Music is looking for an audio engineer.

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Recording Arts
and the Manager of Audio Operations, coordinate all audio production
activities in the School of Music, including sound reinforcement, live
concert recording, recording sessions for faculty and guest artists, and
audio support for media activities. Supervise Recording Arts Students in
their activities as part of X090 Audio Ensemble.  Coordinate weekly
scheduling of facilities and events requiring audio production. Train
Recording Arts students in recording and sound reinforcement procedures and
facilities use. Assist in maintenance and upgrades of audio facilities.
Recommend equipment acquisition.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in audio production; comparable
professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Five years
experience in live concert recording and sound reinforcement. Experience
with current digital console technology. Experience with maintenance and
troubleshooting of audio equipment, and with Macintosh- and Windows-based
computers. Advanced ProTools editing and production skills, experience with
SonicStudioHD and Wavelab desirable. Ability to read a musical score and
experience in recording and producing classical music required.
