thank you for your suggestion, but I am afraid that shipping costs to Italy
would be quite high... that's why I was inquiring about European turntables.
On the other hand, if you look at the BST they DO look remarkably similar to
Numark, don't you think?

The Numark PT01- 3 speed turntable for about $100 American sounds like
the perfect unit in that it is battery powered, so it can used
anywhere.  It also has audio outputs as well as a headphone jack and a
built in speaker for direct listening.  A number for vendors here in the
U.S. sell it.
