Re: [ARSCLIST] Restoration Software

IMHO -- Waves Restoration Bundle is rather poor. I tried the beta
version when it first came out and was very disappointed. A few years
later I tried it again and was equally disappointed.
While at Criterion, I used CubeTech's Audio Cube restoration system.
So far, it's the best I've heard.

I'd also recommend that you test Dart Pro. Most programs have a trial
version, DCart & Dart PRo are no exception to this rule. It may depend
a lot
on what you want to process.

Hi, Kurt,

Great meeting you in Austin.

Hard to use at times, but interesting, and developed by folks
working at
the Edison Historic Site as volunteers: Diamond Cut 6. I THINK for
discs,
I'd choose DC over Algorithmix, but I don't do 78s.
http://www.diamondcut.com/ Sometimes, their main distributor has
better
deals than they do http://www.tracertek.com/

At the other end of the price spectrum: Cedar Cambridge <smile>.

An even lower cost option that delivers more bang for the buck than
anything else I've seen (though it has things left out that higher-end
software has) is Magix's Audio Cleaning Lab -- a $30 download.

Hello gang

In your opinion, what software program (not outboard modules) does

what is the best over all?
