[ARSCLIST] Minidisk alternative players

Hi,

The subject has come up on and off list several times about recovering
minidisks that have had some issues. Also the multi-track, semi-standard
minidisks are also an issue. How does one play these without the machine
they were recorded on?

Does anyone know of a universal MD computer drive that can read MDs and
pull off essentially anything that is on them?

Presumably, one would need ATRAC software to decode the files, but the PC
could handle that too.

All leads would be appreciated.

I have recently added slow speed logging tape playback (20-channel 1/2-inch
and 40-channel 1-inch) to my capabilites as well as Sony 2-channel DASH
reel to reel digital and Mitsubishi X86 2-channel reel to reel digital.

Cheers,

Richard
