Internship Opportunities at the International Tennis Hall of Fame

 

MUSEUM COLLECTIONS INTERNSHIP

Basic Function:

Assist in the management and organization of the International Tennis Hall
of Fame Museum

film, video, and recorded sound archives. Primary responsibilities include
cataloguing, 

housing and maintaining collections, and entering records into database.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Learn the collections management system used to record the artifacts

- Assist with cataloguing and housing collection

- Enter information into the Collections Management Database

- Assist museum staff inventory the collection

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

- Must have excellent descriptive writing skills

- Must have an attention to detail

- Must have basic computer knowledge, including databases (preferably
Access-based databases)

- Interest in Museum Studies, Archives, Public History, Historic
Preservation, Film Preservation, or Photographic Preservation

- Ability to define goals, use good judgment, and meet expectations

- Ability to work independently

- Ability to learn and ask questions

 

Employment Status

- up to 40 hours per week, stipend available with credit
