Re: [ARSCLIST] .wav file content information - chunks

A few months ago, I was given the opportunity to collaborate with the
developer of an OS X program called Sample Manager. The result of this
effort was integrate support for .wav file metadata editing in the same
style as the PC applications Sound Forge, Wavelab, and Audition.

With the release of version 2.0, Sample Manager now fully integrates this
style of metadata editing.

----------------------------

Sample Manager is the first full-featured batch audio file processor for Mac
OS X. Designed in Cocoa from the ground up, Sample Manager proudly takes
advantage of CoreGraphics, CoreAudio, and other solid OS X features.

Here is an excerpt from the manual which describes the program¹s support for
metadata:

The Info section shows the text entries for metadata information found in
the file(s). Though this data is not normally found in all formats, Sample
Manager creates it when necessary during translations, and does not affect
playback. All of the metadata information is stored as text, so the
"Creation Date" field for example will not be converted to a
platform-specific format. All of the fields are available to edit directly.
