Re: [ARSCLIST] Headphones?



Just a note about Sony headphones - I would stick with the professional line
- the 7506's are the "industry standard", and the 7509's are even better
(better isolation due to more ergonomic earcups, bigger driver).

Their consumer line - the V600's, V900's, and assorted "DJ" headphones I
have seen mentioned tend to have their low end tweaked up - something akin
to a mild version of the old "loudness" or "presence" knobs on old stereos,
IMHO.  Great for consumer listening, but not for critical audio archiving or
restoration work...

This is just my personal opinion - not based on any actual scientific
anything - I'd actually be interested to hear if anyone else has noticed
this difference between pro and consumer lines...
