[ARSCLIST] Free/Open Source and Low Cost Audio Editing Software

Folks,

Anyone have suggestions for free/open source and low cost audio editing
programs usable in Windows? I am aware of ProTools Free and Sound Forge
Studio and Goldwave (low cost), but if anyone can suggest anything else, it
would be terrific. The suggestions will be directed to people conducting
oral history/ethnographic interviews who are interested in doing basic
editing of digital audio files, have no need of multi-tracking and don't
have a lot of money to spend.

Thanks,

andy
