[ARSCLIST] Obscure Ellington composition

A researcher is trying to locate a recording of an obscure Ellington
composition entitled "The (Blue?) Cow with the Indigo Moo", that was
broadcast from a San Francisco radio station-- possibly KDFC before it was
bought out-- about 35 years ago. It is an orchestral piece, under 10
minutes, which he believes was played from a (78rpm?) disc recording, and
which he believes was composed between 1935 and 1945. It was announced as
"a most unusual piece", and according to the researcher was an experimental
or transitional piece of music.

He is giving a lecture next week and would like to refer to this recording
in sufficient detail as to make it possible for others to locate it and
hear it. The researcher has no email, so please reply to me directly, or
to the list.
Thanks,
