Business 2.0 magazine (August 2003) reports, Disney has announced the EZ-D which has a coating that renders the disc unreadable after 48 hours.

I guess if this comes about, collecting and library loaning, let alone preservation will be out of the picture. Perhaps one will be able to buy one for 25 cents?
