[ARSCLIST] Connecticut Concert in memory of Dick Burns

Dear ARSC,

The New Haven Oratorio Choir (www.newhavenoratorio.org) will perform the
Petite Messe Solenne by Rossini, in memory of Dick Burns, on the weekend of
May 17 - 18. Members of ARSC and other readers of this list who can make
the trip to New Haven are invited to attend.

There will be two performances of the Mass in its original version:

1) Saturday, May 17 at Christ Presbyterian Church, 135 Whitney Avenue (just
north of the Yale campus), at 8 P.M.

2) Sunday, May 18 at First Congregational Church of Branford, 1009 Main
Street (on the Green, next to the Town Hall), at 7 P.M.

The alto soloist will be Kellie Van Horn, the principal pianist Rachel
Jimenez, second pianist (Saturday only) Becky Lu, and harmonium player
Alexis Zingale (Mason & Hamlin reed organ, ca. 1900). Mark Bailey, the
group's musical director, will conduct.

Tickets are $10 each ($8 for seniors, $5 for students).

(NHOC is the community chorus in which I've sung for over 35 years).
