Re: arsclist TDK audio cassettes



I am not sure of the shell you refer to, but from your description it sounds as if it could be a shell mimicking the Shape Mk10 in which the internal section surrounding the tape exposure area /guide area was a separate molding from the sides -  a three part tape shell with five screws resulting in more consistant azimuth within other shells of its kind & better overall performance.  The purpose of the larger window could've been to show off the quality design or perhaps a marketing ploy to arouse the 'neato' factor.  Please let us know
