THE CONSERVATION OF GEORGE WASHINGTON'S REVOLUTIONARY WAR CAMPAIGN MARQUEES

ABSTRACT—The paper describes the treatment and preparation for exhibit of two large pieces of tenting used by General George Washington during the Revolutionary War Campaign. The techniques employed are fairly standard. The tremendous size and value of the objects involved required some practical and innovative application of these techniques.
