A method of sewing a book by hand in which three sections are sewn on one length of thread from kettle stitch to kettle stitch. The technique is designed to reduce sewing swell in the spine and is generally used only when sewing books made up of a relatively large number of thin sections. See also: ALL ALONG ; TWO ON .
