six on

A rarely used technique of sewing a book on raised cords. the number of cords being the same in number as the sections to be sewn with a single length of thread. Because each of the sections is sewn to only one of the six cords does not mean that the method is unduly weak, because when all six sections are sewn they are pierced and fastened together at head and tail.
