porphyry vein marble

A cover marble consisting of black in large drops, a brown sprinkle, followed by a scarlet sprinkle, followed by large spots of yellow and weak blue. The colors are followed by applications of aqua regia, all of which is made to flow down the covers of the book to form a distinct vein. (97 , 152 )
