Japanese silk
A type of SILK
that is more closely woven and of finer threads
than the usual silk. It is also a double warp
fabric, i.e., the warp and filling threads are of
the same thickness. Japanese silk is less likely
to fray along cut edges than ordinary silk, which
makes it useful for SILK FLYLEAVES .
