drawn-on covers ( drawn-on solid )

A term applied to the binding of square-backed periodical issues, pamphlets, and paperbacks, in which the cover is attached by gluing it to the spine. When the endpapers are pasted down, it is said to be "drawn-on solid." (156 , 307 )
