art vellum
A relatively thin book cloth, which, although
impregnated, has only moderately good wearing
qualities. It is a smooth cloth with a textured
pattern printed on a white base fabric. Art
vellums were used extensively for the sides of
half- and quarter-bindings. (105 , 205 )
