A genus of woody plants of the family Leguminosae.
The sap and pods of certain species, notable
Acacia arabica and A. senegal, are used in the
manufacture of GUM
ARABIC . Acacia mimoa, A. mollisima and A.
catechu (also called Borneo cutch) are also used
