Wyoming

120 outdoor sculptures were reported in Wyoming. The state has some unique and unexpected sculpture, from amateur chain saw carvings to classical bronze figures. Despite Wyoming's vast area and sparse population, 133 cities and towns were visited in the SOS! survey. Outdoor sculpture in Wyoming often represents wildlife, Native Americans, and symbols of the West. As the state's history is a short one, the oldest pieces are two Chinese lion-dogs that date from 1919 and stand at the entrance of Kendrick Park in Sheridan.
