Oregon

58 Oregon volunteers documented 419 outdoor sculptures in the state that is home to both Beavers and Ducks. Portland has 181 public sculptures, many of which are contemporary. Allow Me by J. Seward Johnson in Pioneer Square is a life like bronze sculpture of a man holding an umbrella and raising his left hand to signal a cab. Animals in Pools by Georgia Garber, also in Portland, is a number of small ponds with sculptural animals close by. There are 25 animals in all, including bears, beavers, seals, ducks, otters, and deer. There are many totem poles in Oregon to honor the state's Native American heritage. Totemic Columns is a series of eight totem poles by artists Tom Dimond and Don Gray that stand in a landscaped area that is meant to look like part of the Oregon Trail.
