Michigan
Michigan, known as both the Wolverine State and the Great Lakes state, boasts the longest coastline on the Great Lakes of any state in the U.S. The “mitten” shape of the Lower Peninsula makes the state easy to identify. Ten million people live in 83 counties in Michigan, and it is home to many outdoor sculptures. As you can see from the picture on the left, the citizens of Detroit like to have fun with their sculpture! Does your community ever include its sculpture in celebrations?
