Glastonbury
The Standard Bearer (1913) by unknown artist
You are never too young to help! The Town of Glastonbury created this granite sculpture to honor its citizens who fought in the Civil War, and like many of the Civil War sculptures across the United States, it needs preservation. Cadette Girl Scout Troop #891 has stepped up to the challenge. In April 2001, the seven scouts received an SOS! Assessment Award to work with conservation professional, Francis Miller to determine the health of their towns monument. How can you get involved with your communitys sculpture?
