Rolland Aubey, 70, of Port Edwards, Wisconsin, died Thursday February 13, after a short battle with bone cancer. He had retired from Nekoosa Papers (now Georgia-Pacific) in 1989, after working there as a research manager and paper chemist for 35 years. He played a major role in standards work in ASTM and ISO, and was a consultant to The Guild of FACTS in the field of art framing. In his home town of Port Edwards, he was known as a dedicated village servant, superb executive, and "backbone of the village," serving in many capacities, including as volunteer firefighter, Boy Scout leader, village trustee for 22 years and village president for 13 years.
