People
- Paul R. Saueracker has been named vice president-sales and
marketing of Pfizer's Specialty Minerals Group.
- David H. Dumas has been named to the position of technology
director, Asia Pacific Paper Technology Group, Hercules Inc.,
effective January 1, 1990. In this new position he will implement
Hercules program for product technology and technical service,
particularly in the use of neutral sizes for alkaline papermaking,
and will search for new technology within the region. He will
relocate to Hong Kong about June 1990.
- William K. Wilson received an Award of Merit from the American
Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) January 22 in Fort
Lauderdale, Florida "for continuing leadership in the development
and adoption of specifications and test methods for paper
permanency; and for service to the D/06 Committee on Paper and Paper
Products." Formerly of the National Bureau of Standards, he is now a
guest worker at the National Archives.
- Craig S. Booher has joined Integrated Paper Services, Inc., in
Appleton, as associate director, information system and services.
He was formerly librarian at the Institute of Paper Chemistry (now
the Institute of Paper Science and Technology, IPST).
- Walter J. Rantanen has joined Integrated Paper Services u
supervisor, fiber sciences laboratory. He was formerly associate
technical specialist with IPST in Atlanta.
