To the Editor:

I am enclosing an announcement of Westvaco's CAN EAGLE envelope grade which is manufactured in our nonintegrated acid-free mill at Tyrone, Pa. This grade has been designed to meet the EPA requirement of 50% minimum recycled fiber content while still satisfying the performance criteria and printability demanded by envelope converters. In addition to the required certification, we have also added a unique watermark demonstrating our use of recyclable fiber.

...The conversion of [our Wickliffe mill to an acid-free status] confirms that all uncoated products, sold by Westvaco's Fine Papers Division under the CLEAR SPRING grade name, will be acid-free.
