- Strathmore will convert its Millers Falls, Mass., mill over the
labor Day weekend. The mill makes 30 tons daily of cotton-content
and sulfite bonds, onion-skins, opaques and erasables, and tracing
and chart papers.
- Island Paper Mills Co., a joint subsidiary of MacMillan Bloedel
Ltd. and Fraser Inc., converted May 10, 1989. it makes 400 tons
daily of bond, tablet, register bond, writing, book, litho, offset,
mimeo, duplicator, envelope and tag in its mill in New Westminster,
British Columbia. Its papers are listed in the Fine Paper
Directory, but its merchants are not listed anywhere because
there are so many of them. Some of the chains they use, though, are
Barber-Ellis Fine Papers, MacMillan Bloedel, Coast and Crown Paper.

colors as well as white.
