Jäckel wrote three other articles in the same series on old techniques, on wooden boards (1977), gilding (1980) and globes (1981). The publisher (Generaldirektion der Bayerischen Staatlichen Bibliotheken) has given the Abbey Newsletter permission to publish the entire series, and has secured the author's permission as well.
