Howard Nixon, bookbinding historian, died on February 19. He was librarian of Westminster Abbey and author of Five Centuries of English Bookbinding, a collection of the articles he wrote for The Book Collector between 1952 and 1977. His latest book, on the Oldaker collection at Westminster Abbey, has just been published by Maggs Bros.
