The Guild of Book Workers' list of "Opportunities for Study in Hand Bookbinding and Calligraphy". Includes 129 binders in the U.S. and abroad with whom amateurs or professionals can study. They are concentrated on the East and West Coast and in Chicago and Toronto, and each presumably takes on only a few student at a time. Both individuals and institutions are represented (libraries, colleges) and a few commercial binderies. Copies of the list can be ordered from the Guild of Book Worker 1059 Third Ave., New York, N.Y. 10021. For good will, send a dollar to cover costs. A bargain at the price; first list of its kind, as far as I know.
