As part of our program of training, the bindery gives monthly tours and demonstrations for it employees and other interested people. Last month we visited the Peninsular Paper ill in Ypsilanti, which makes fine text and cover paper, mostly colored. Next time it ill probably be a visit (our third) to Ben Donaldson's private rare book library at Cavanaugh Lake, if he is able to have us.
In the past we have visited other binderies and had demonstrations of leather binding, special endsheets, worked headbands and so on.
If anyone is interested in joining us in these tours and demonstrations, lease call us and we will probably be able to find a place for you. There is no charge.
