Re: tulle

Hello Camille,

I have used (for years) the silk from this gentleman - they're wonderful:

Dukeries Textiles and Fancy Goods Ltd
Spenica House
15a Melbourne Rd.
West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5DJ

ph: 011.44.115.9816.330
fax:011.44.115.9816.440

I haven't talked to them lately, but as far as I know, this is still the current address.  They are quite happy to send marked samples of all of their nets and tulles.  I use the silk most often, and it is a hexagonal net instead of a diamond.

Hope this helps!

Good morning all,

Can anyone direct me to suppliers of higher-end tulle, both nylon and silk?

I am replacing deteriorated tulle on a bridal veil and none of the Boston bridal shops will sell me yardage. Another client had a "big name" bridal shop attach her historic lace to new tulle and their work was deplorable, and we ended up redoing it all (three weeks before the wedding). I am realizing I have to have a source for fine tulle to avoid this problem in the future.

Thanks for your help,
Camille
