Military Costume -- nomenclature inquiry

Wondering if anybody can speculate from afar in this inquiry...

Our conservation studio is currently treating a small private collection of costume objects and accessories; a few of which we are looking to identify more accurately. The objects have some authentic provenance, in that, they are known to have been in the Chrystie family possession in New York City for the past 150+ years ( circa 1840's). The family has direct descendants from high ranking military officers in France during the Napoleonic era in the early 19th century. My vague recollection of this period is that Napoleon's army had invaded and was occupying Spain by around 1813 or 1815; and that eventually the British arrived via Portugal to force the French withdrawal. Any information to further identify these objects and proper nomenclature would be greatly appreciated, as well as, any references for publications on French Military Costume of this period.

Please see the images below. The under-side label denotes a shop address in Lisbon, and the original box has a hand written label in French that is not clearly legible, the accompanying silk vest is in impeccable condition.

Thanks, best regards,
Elise
