Change of nomenclature for Ciba products

Today I have been informed by the Swiss Distributor of Ciba Textile
Products (Erba AG) that, caused by the takeover of Ciba Textile Effects
(previously Ciba Specialty Products) by Huntsman Corporation nine months
ago, the name of all previous Ciba products which patents have not
changed to other producers previous to the takeover, will have to be
changed (part of the takeover contract).
In Switzerland, the nonionic Surfactant Tinovetin JUN will be renamed to
Ultravon JUN, effective immediately. The product remains absolutely
unchanged except for the name.
I do not know if this new name will also apply to other countries, or if
the previous Tinovetin JUN will have different names in various
countries. You might wish to verify this change of name for your
respective distributor.
Nor do I at the moment know if this change of nomenclature will apply to
ciba dye powders (Cibacron, Irgalan, Solophenyl, Lanasol, Lanaset) as
well. I will keep the list posted as soon as I have more news.

Sincerely,

Karin von Lerber
