The only difficulty would be if the markings are a dark color instead of
white. Most dye pipettes have measurement quantities marked in white so
that they can be easily seen against the dark dye solution. Dark
markings can be obscured by the dye solution!

Has anyone ever used a syringe for measuring out the very small amounts
of dye stock solution? For example 0.2 mls? Seems like a good idea but
maybe there is some obvious reason not to that I can't see.
