Another thing to consider... if you compare the rate of chemical
reactions at two temps 10oC apart, you'll find the warmer temp's
reaction is proceeding at about 2x (very approximately!) the rate of the
same reaction at the cooler temperature.  So if you're trying to slow
down unwanted chemical reactions, cooler is generally better.
